About

Cris De Andrade

“We don’t know what we don’t know about our sexuality or our anatomy until it starts to make sense.”

I was born in Brazil and moved to Sydney in 2000. I'm a mother of two young adult daughters.

At one point, everything in my life shifted at once. A long-term relationship ended, my body was moving through menopause, and I was trying to hold everything together for everyone else.

From the outside, I was functioning.
On the inside, I felt disconnected from my body, my desire, and who I was.

I couldn't understand myself. I didn't recognise the person looking back at me in the mirror. And more than anything, I didn't know my purpose.

And I remember how confusing and lonely that felt.

That search led me into the study of counselling, psychology, neuroscience, and human sexuality. It took me years, a lot of studying and reflecting, to truly understand it myself.

Through this process, I came to understand that my sexual wellbeing is deeply connected to how I feel about myself, and how connected I am to my body.

Women are not broken. We simply were never taught.

Not taught how our bodies work.

Not taught how arousal and desire develop.

Not taught how sensuality changes through different stages of life.

Your hormones change. Your life circumstances change. You grow, you evolve, and who you are sexually changes too.

Without the right knowledge, it's easy to feel disconnected from yourself.

That was my turning point.

Why NurtureU

NurtureU was created from that experience.

It's the kind of support I needed years ago, but couldn't find.

I wasn't looking for techniques or quick fixes. I needed understanding. I needed to make sense of my body, my desire, and the changes I was going through.

And I realised how many women are in the same place, functioning on the outside, but feeling disconnected on the inside, carrying confusion, pressure, or quiet shame around their sexuality.

NurtureU was built to change that.

Through science-based education, I support women to reconnect with their bodies, understand how their desire actually works, and develop the clarity and confidence that comes from real knowledge.

Because women don't need fixing. We need knowledge to understand ourselves.

What NurtureU stands for

The work at NurtureU is grounded in science and real-life experience.

Research shows what many women already feel, but often can't explain: chronic stress directly impacts arousal. Not because something is wrong with you, but because your nervous system is doing exactly what it's designed to do.

When your body is under pressure, it prioritises survival, not pleasure.

This is where the work begins.

What this means for you

Desire is contextual, not defective

Low desire is not a flaw. It is a response to your environment, your stress levels, and your emotional state.

Arousal is physiological, not performative

Your body is not broken. It is responding exactly as a nervous system under pressure should.

Pleasure needs conditions, not pressure

Safety, presence, and pace are not luxuries. They are prerequisites your body cannot bypass.

Knowledge changes everything

Understanding how desire works transforms how you experience consent, confidence, and communication.

Mental load matters

The invisible weight of running a life, a relationship, and often a household does not disappear when you get into bed. Addressing it is essential.

The Solution from NurtureU

This is exactly what The Intimacy Reset is designed to do.

Not to fix you, but to help you understand yourself.

To remove the conditions that are shutting desire down, and rebuild the ones your body actually needs.

To give you the knowledge, awareness, and tools that were never taught.

The Intimacy Reset

A structured 6-week private program to help you reconnect with your body, your desire, and your sense of self.

Grounded in nervous system science, embodied practice, and emotionally attuned, evidence-based guidance.

First, we unlearn what was never helpful.

Then we build the knowledge you were never taught.
